Day 1: Arrival In Mombasa
Upon arrival at Mombasa airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to Villa Verona Watamu.
Arrive and check in at the Villa in a standard garden room. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2: Watamu Tropical Paradise
Free relaxing time in Watamu. Villa Verona is a new 3-bedroom Eco holiday villa beautifully located at a tropical Watamu village, approximately 1km from the stunning Watamu beach. A new Jewell in Watamu, boasting a swimming pool, beautiful gardens, a relaxing Gazebo and expansive terrace offering stunning views of magical sunsets down the tropical paradise. Free Wi-Fi, 65inch digital TV screen, tastefully furnished rooms with private toilets. A furnished kitchen with necessary amenities at your disposal. Watamu restaurants and bars are minutes away. Private chef is available for hire.
Day 3: Watamu – Tsavo East (240 Kms/4h)
Check out from your room. You will be picked from the villa at 06h00 and depart to Tsavo East National Park Upon entering the park the driver will open the roof of your bus, so you can stand up with the wind in your hair. Welcome to Africa, the safari has begun! Tsavo is the largest national park in Kenya and is split into East and West by the highway. You will arrive with game drive enroute to the lodge.
Check in for lunch and later enjoy time for relaxation before setting off back into the park for your afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge as the sun sets.
Overnight at Lion Hill Safari Lodge or similar on full board
Day 4: Tsavo East To Taita Hills (60 Kms/1h)
Early morning game drive in the park. After breakfast depart to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Arrive, check in and lunch at Taita Hills Lodge. After moments of relaxation, depart for an afternoon game drive in the sanctuary till sunset. The conservancy covers 28,000 acres of open wood and grassland with clusters of Taita hills. It’s an important dispersal and migrating corridor for wildlife between Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Park.
Overnight at Taita Hills Safari Resort or similar on full board
Day 5: Taita Hills To Watamu Beach (245 Kms/4h)
Early morning game in the sanctuary. After breakfast drive back to Watamu arriving late in the afternoon.
Check in at Villa Verona, standard garden room. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 6: Watamu Tour & Crab Shark Sunset
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon you will enjoy guided tour around Watamu town. You will visit a local open-air market where locals buy and sell their fresh supplies of vegetables, fruits, and other commodities. If you wish to support the local communities, there will also be an optional visit to a local school or orphanage. Tour will end with a stop at the famous Crab Shark Restaurant, one of its kind in Watamu, beautifully set on the edge of the mangrove forest, offering stunning views of the Mida creek and spectacular sunsets.
The local special menu includes delicious fresh fish, prawns and crab.
Day 7: Robinson Island & Hell’s Kitchen Tour
Pick up from your hotel in the morning at 07h30 and drive to Malindi for a brief tour of Malindi town and later proceed to Robinson Island.
Robinson Island is a tropical paradise located 40km north of Malindi. The restaurant is uniquely built using mangrove roots, coconut palms and white sand floor. You will enjoy a seafood lunch at the restaurant followed by moments of relaxation, or swim in warm waters of the Indian Ocean. At 15h00 depart to Marafa geological depression also known as Hell’s Kitchen. It is a beautiful sandstone canyon with colorfully layered gorges formed hundreds of years ago. It’s managed by the local community.
It’s called Hell’s Kitchen because temperatures can get to 50 degrees Celsius down in the gorges. You can walk down the canyons, with a local community guide, discovering the extraordinary beauty of the place. Return to your Villa after in the evening.
Day 8: Watamu Little Paradise
Free relaxing time in Watamu, a truly beautiful tropical paradise. Watamu, a name derived from a Swahili word meaning “sweet people” is a small coastal city with great warm hospitality, nestled between pristine beaches and lush mangrove forests. The mangrove forest around Watamu creek is a stunning natural wonder. The Watamu marine park boasts vibrant coral reef and abundant marine life including the endemic Watamu triggerfish.
Day 9: Safari Blue & Waka Waka Island Tour
This popular dolphin and snorkeling tour start at around 08h30 at Bluebay village Watamu. We cruise through the open waters to the Watamu Marine Park, a protected area with beautiful marine life where you can snorkel and swim with the fish under the clear waters. After snorkeling we sail through the Mida creek towards Waka Waka Island. On a lucky day you may spot Dolphins. Hot Seafood lunch will be served at the Island, followed by some entertainment by the local community. We sail back to blue bay village and transfer back to your Villa.
Day 10: Departure To Mombasa Airport
Morning at leisure. Check out time from your room at 11h00. Pick up from the Villa and transfer to Mombasa airport for your flight home. End of Services.
